Synopsis
A word in black rips a white background. A light projects the silhouette of some young people against a dirty wall. The face of a young man is lit up in the middle of a movie theater. A phantasmagorical image takes us back to a time that will never return.
‘The mutants’ proposes a journey through an indefinite time – it could be several years or maybe one day – in which a group of young people will try to find a new family. What else should you aspire to in a place where thought is formed?
Gabriel Azorín and his team lived for an academic year with the students of ECAM (Madrid Film and Audiovisual School), where they themselves were trained, trying to find an answer to the following question: can you teach someone how to make films?
